On December 15, 2022 the Superintendent of Sargent Raul Alvarez, made a motion to withdraw all charges against Alvarez due to the fact that Alvarez had resigned  from the Chicago Police Department. The Police Board considered this motion and choose to grant it. The proceedings that were before the Police Board were terminated. This was done and decided by a majority of the number of the Police Board. Their names follow.
